Meet some of the fast-thinking, hardworking Archer associates who drive our success.
I am on the Trade Settlement team and responsible for communicating investment managers’ trade activity to counterparties and custodians to ensure smooth, timely settlement. Joining a firm as dynamic as Archer has been exciting for me; our growth has been incredible. The fast pace and exacting nature of trade settlement work challenges and motivates me to be my best, every day.
It is important to me to accomplish any task to the best of my abilities, whether it be in or out of the workplace. This is partly inspired by my mom, who worked as a teacher for the Philadelphia School District for 31 years. I am inspired by her dedication to teaching, her students, and family.
When I can’t travel out of the area, I explore the outdoors in Philly, including kayaking on the Schuylkill River and hiking the many trails in Wissahickon Valley Park. I especially enjoy when I am able to share these experiences with my 6-year-old niece, Sydney.
I work as a project manager, responsible for creating and managing project plans to onboard Archer’s new clients, ensuring all tasks are progressing forward appropriately and are completed on time in order to hit our targets and achieve successful implementations.
I have high personal standards for the quality of my work. I am always looking ahead to the next task that needs to be completed, always working to improve, motivated to achieve the goals set out before me by continuing to do the next right thing. I had heard that Michelangelo said, “If people knew how hard I worked to achieve my mastery, it wouldn’t seem so wonderful after all.” For me, the key to personal success is ensuring I am assigning the proper value to the right things, including the value of hard work.
When I’m not working, you can likely find me outside, skiing or biking with my husband, or hiking with our dog, Misty May.
I am a puzzle solver, challenged by creating solutions in the midst of unknowns. I’ve always been excited by opportunities to live a better life – and to help others do the same – by solving complex problems.
At Archer, I work with others to deploy technology-related initiatives that contribute to business growth. Recently, I collaborated with with a talented team to introduce Archer’s new Client Request Process, which helps our clients articulate their needs with great specificity so that our technologists can deploy solutions more quickly.
To stay motivated and focused, I exercise daily at 5:30 am. Volunteerism is also a core part of my life – I assist with Sunday Zoom Masses, and I plan to take a mission trip with my family when COVID restrictions are lifted.
As a Client Platform Specialist, I employ a front office skill set that helps me develop meaningful relationships with our clients and a middle- to back-office skill set that helps me understand and communicate technical aspects of the Archer platform. My skills are continuously evolving with Archer as we partner with asset managers to scale and expand their product offerings.
In everything, my growing family is what keeps me motivated – day in and day out. My wife and I welcomed our oldest son in 2018 and were blessed with another baby boy in November of 2020. My goal in life is to provide for them as my parents did for me and be the best I can be for them.
I love traveling. There’s nothing like stepping off an airplane and the first language you see is NOT English. It quickly puts in perspective what’s required of you to get by. My wife and I have traveled together around the globe and paradoxically, it’s grounded us. We’re excited to get back out there when we’re able to!
Here at Archer, I wear many different hats and in Marketing, Business Development, and Information Security. On the Marketing side, I help our team expand Archer’s brand identity through industry conferences, fostering relationships with consultants, monitoring website traffic, and creating presentation materials. On the Sales side, I support the team throughout the entire sales cycle, primarily focusing on RFP management and lead generation. I also work closely with IT and Risk on the Due Diligence Questionnaire process.
Outside of the office, you’d probably find me fiddling with my car (pretending to know what I’m doing) or working on my PC. Aside from that, I spend much of my time with my wife, Susan. We’ve been married for over 5 years, but together for more than a decade. I boxed for nearly 5 years and trained Muay Thai for another 2 years. Haven’t hit a bag for a while, but combat sports still hold a special place in my heart.
My role at Archer can be best described as a multi-team membership, spanning the Core Operations-Account Services and the Trading team. I worked at several large financial firms before coming to Archer and coming to a smaller firm has been exhilarating. I enjoy the pace, the camaraderie, and the opportunity to make a broader impact.
I am committed to mastery and continuous learning. I believe that being committed to personal growth creates an awesome working atmosphere, and constantly brings new information into the organization which assists in creative problem solving.
Usually my favorite off-work activity is travelling, but these days, in my off-hours you’ll find me in my kitchen creating new vegan dishes. I attended culinary school before starting my career in finance and now I am becoming a tofu-based fried “chicken” expert!
